Travel basketball provides athletes with higher abilities and experience the opportunity to play with his/her peers in a very competitive situation. The goal of the travel program is to prepare our athletes for entry into the high school basketball programs.

Travel Eligibility:
1 year experience in BYBL or another basketball program

Assessments:
Assessments will be held prior to the start of the season at Woodland School to ensure players have the basic skills to play in a more competitive environment.  Please keep in mind that if your child is not ready to do these skills that is ok, we have the Intramural program for development of skills needed for travel.


3rd/4th Evaluation:
-Must be able to dribble with both hands
-Be able to catch a passed ball
-Be able to reach the rim

5th-8th Evaluation:
-Be able to dribble with both hands
-Catch a passed ball
-Pass a ball with proper form
-Reach the Rim
-Do a lay up
-Must be able to learn how to run an offense and play defense 


Teams will be capped at 11.   If 14 players sign up and are eligible for play, then 2 teams will be created.
